Consequences Of A DUI Or Criminal Conviction For Students

11/26/15  A DUI or criminal conviction, misdemeanor or felony, can come with consequences which may not be widely known or easily thought of.  College students or college hopefuls who receive a DUI or criminal conviction may not be able to proceed with their educational and career goals, depending on the criteria held by the educational institution they attend.  Within the community college system of Maricopa County, for instance, a person who has been arrested or convicted of any crime may be excluded from enrollment in healthcare and nursing programs within the Maricopa County Community College District, for a minimum of three years after the conviction.

A DUI or criminal conviction may be very difficult in and of itself, but cutting short the dream of attending college and attaining a lifelong career is devastating, at any time of life.

Present or hopeful college students who are facing DUI or criminal charges should educate themselves as soon as possible on the policies of the educational institution they attend or hope to attend and, perhaps more than most, it is critical to obtain the best quality legal representation.  Protect your present and future, and call, text or email me today.
