The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) announced yesterday they’ve made an addition to the list of time and money-saving services which customers can handle themselves online via ServiceArizona.com (now at AZ MVD Now). Getting a duplicate driver license or identification card is now as easy as making the application online, and printing the necessary temporary road credentials (no special paper is now required). Your permanent duplicate license or ID will follow by mail.
This will almost eliminate the need to visit a MVD office for this second-most-common MVD transaction, and promises to greatly reduce traffic. Notable exceptions in availability of the service would be commercial driver license or permit holders, customers requiring an updated photo, as well as first-time license or ID applicants.
