Bodycams record death of handcuffed man

5/20/16  A Florida man, travelling home through Georgia with his parents and fiancée, was killed after a bizarre confrontation with Sheriff’s deputies.  Having recently been behaving strangely and alarming his loved ones, possibly due to ingestion of a synthetic form of marijuana, his family pulled over and called police to help him.

Bodycam videos have been released in the case, which shed light on the circumstances surrounding the death, which apparently did involve resistance, however attorneys for the deceased man, who was handcuffed in the rear of his rented car when he was killed, maintain undue force was used and the death ultimately unnecessary.  No charges have been filed nor disciplinary action taken in the case.
